The Board Jump Start Program™ is for serious candidates to develop a board seat campaign in a structured, disciplined manner.

Board JumpStart Program

When a candidate begins the process of securing a board seat, she should be aware that a significant amount of time is often needed to prepare herself.  We have found that candidates have a tendency to put off the foundational steps and develop a plan to guide them successfully on their path.   We developed this program to address both the need for momentum, insights into the process,  and personal guidance.  Our goal is to complete this program in 100 days.

The Board JumpStart Program™ includes:

  • Initial 20-30 minute consult with Women2Boards CEO (if not done as a prelude to your joining the program).
  • Four hours of consulting with Women2Boards CEO:
    • Reviewing  your board Roadmap
    • Developing your networking and visibility plan
    • Mock board interview via Zoom if requested (2 hours is allocated for this)
  • Two hours of consulting for the creation of Board Bio, Resume, LinkedIn Profile, and your first Board Pitch by Women2Boards CEO and/or Executive Writer (see full description here)
  • Materials:
    • Questionnaire/Roadmap to target board opportunities
    • Tips for building allies through networking and visibility
    • Performing your due diligence
    • A resource list of board-focused newsletters and training programs
    • Board interviewing insights with written and video tips
    • A list of search firms focused on board placements
    • A list of databases for board candidates
    • Referrals to Nurole and Diligent Board Candidate databases

A limited number of Board Jumpstart Programs™ are available due to the time commitment needed by Women2Boards CEO.  Board JumpStart™ graduates receive preference with Women2Boards CEO for additional consults.
